Definitely want to challenge my students with more open-ended tasks. Definitely intimidated by the attitude of “you never taught us how to do this”. This is an awesome resource. My issue is that I want to scaffold open-ended tasks, and be able to provide feedback to my students on the scaffolding. Maybe it means starting with a ten minute task at the end of class, give them qualitative feedback (no grade) and hand it back the next day. Then bump up the size/rigor of the task.
