Dan is great, obviously. Big ideas of his presentation:
Video games are enjoyable and mildly addictive. Math class is not. What gives?
I won’t go into all of the details, but key ideas I took away from his presentation:
Video games have a short, nonjudgmental feedback loop that allows multiple opportunities for success.
Video games present guiding information visually and only when students need it
Video games allow the user to play at their own pace
Great stuff. His talk will probably go up on the interweb at some point, you should watch it.
